  • Palestinian police frustrates smuggling 120 packages of hashish in Rafah

  • Palestinian police in Gaza has frustrated on Sunday an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs, that will be entered into the Gaza Strip through tunnels in Rafah .    Major Mohammad Attia, director of Anti-Drugs Police in Rafah, reported that there is information indicating that a quantity of drugs were smuggled and entered the Gaza Strip through a tunnel with Egypt. So, he headed a force of police to the tunnel and frustrated the attempt of smuggling in Rafah tunnels.    Anti-Drugs Police's members immediately arrived to the scene and arrested the accused, who are from Khan Younis and have 120 packages of hashish .    Major Mohammad Attia confirmed that the accused and packages of hashish were seized to complete the legal procedures against them, and then to transfer them to the general prosecution .
