  • Palestinian Police: 635 cases treated during last week

  • Palestinian police issued a report which shows the most important achievements during the period between 17-23/7/2010, and the report showed the issues and cases which have been achieved and treated last week in all governorates of the Gaza Strip.  


     


    The report discussed the major issues of detention during the mentioned period, whereas, many wanted citizens and thieves were arrested and transferred to prosecution or police stations to take legal action against them.  


     


    The weekly report mentioned that the police received 635 cases including criminal offenses, crimes against morality and public decency in all governorates of the Gaza Strip, pointing out that most of them were discussed "due to full cooperation by citizens with the police."


     


    The report also showed that the Investigation of Supply destroyed large quantities of rotten food including milk, meat, canned food, juices and expired food and unfit for human use.  


     


    The report also mentioned a statistic for narcotic drugs that have been seized, and it was noted that the phenomenon of drug trade was decreased in the Gaza Strip. Whereas, the police had tightened its procedures to reduce the phenomenon of drug smuggling and launched a campaign in all governorates of the Gaza Strip.


     


    The report reviewed the work of police of crossings as the number of passengers to and from the Gaza Strip is 2083 via Beit Hanoun and 5600 travelers via the Rafah crossing .
