Wesam Al-Ramlawi, Director-General of Passports said to " Ministry of Interior's website": "All Arab countries without exception, and most European countries deal with expired passports which have been extended in the Gaza Strip."

The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights has condemned the Ministry of Interior in Fatah government in Ramallah, that uses the policy of discrimination in issuing passports for the Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights asked the Ministry of Interior of Fatah government to comply with the Palestinian law and not to discriminate among citizens on the basis of political affiliation, and thus undo the policies currently followed in issuing passports, in particular that mentioned ministry has announced more than once (that the Palestinian passport is a natural right for every citizen).

Whereas, the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights has received many complaints from a number of Palestinian civilians from the Gaza Strip, claiming that the Ministry of Interior in Ramallah refuses to issue passports to them on the back of their political affiliation.
