Minister of Interior and National Security Mr. Fathi Hammad confirmed that the ministry has set itself at the highest degree of progress and prosperity after it has submitted the best for the Palestinian people; in order to maintain their security and honor, and the rule of security situation unprecedented in the Arab and Islamic world with the testimony of all delegations that visited the Gaza Strip and appreciated the security situation in Gaza.
The Minister of Interior said, during an open meeting organized by the Ministry of Interior with the elders and notables of Khan Younis City on Wednesday evening,: "Our goal is strengthening the internal front by uniting the Palestinians on the national basis and establishing the Islamic project and maintaining it".
He continued: "We were exposed to plots from the first moment of the election results through all stages of war, in addition to the siege and the recent war in Gaza."
Hammad reviewed the Ministry of Interior's achievements, such as reconstructing 50% of destroyed buildings and facilities of ministry, that were destroyed by the Israeli occupation, adding: "After that we have developed services and managed the relationship between us and the citizens."
Hammad showed that the Ministry of Interior re-prepare and train all civilian and military members of the ministry, and he said: "We have stopped the humiliation on the Palestinian crossings and set up a police college."
The Minister of Interior also drew attention to the voluntary recruitment "After thousands of young men and women had asked; in order to gain military experience to be at full readiness in the event of any emergency."
Moreover, he said: "We have kept on the resistance and achieved the tourism security, which has lacked in Gaza for decades, by deploying security forces between citizens in order to resolve conflicts and remove the encroachment."
Following the meeting, the ministry allowed to raise questions, inquiries and complaints, and the Minister of Interior has promised to resolve it rapidly.
