The Tadamun Foundation for Human Rights confirmed that the IOF tightened its repressive and arbitrary measures towards Palestinian citizens at checkpoints and roadblocks scattered throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip crossings which numbered tens aiming to besiege Palestinian villages and cities.
The lawyer and researcher for Tadamun society, Ahmed Tubasi, explained, in a report on Monday (7-5), that these roadblocks have been used to humiliate the Palestinian citizens by delaying their arrival to their work places and universities, in addition to search-and-arrest operations on barriers where the prisoner is handcuffed and blindfolded, leaving him for long hours and sometimes he is exposed to physical and verbal assaults.
Tubasi noted that the occupation forces have arrested 29 Palestinians on barriers during April.
Tubasi affirmed that the arrest operations took place in Nablus, Ramallah, and Bethlehem, under different pretexts such as possessing explosive materials.
