Israeli navy boats chased and arrested a Palestinian fisherman while fishing off the coast of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, at a late hour on Sunday night.

Sources in the fishermen syndicate told the PIC reporter that Mohammed Al-Amodi, 58, was working within the allowed range when he was detained.

They said that another fisherman, who was with him, was released after a few hours of detention.

Israeli gunboats usually chase and fire at Palestinian fishermen while working at open sea.
