Mr. Ahmed Al-Kurd, Minister of Labor, has confirmed that the services provided by his Ministry are multiple and it is not limited to the operation and provision of employment opportunities only, but due to the difficult economic situation in the Gaza Strip and the high unemployment rate, the importance of operating and providing job opportunities came, which impose greater responsibilities on the Department General under the siege.
He added , in 2012 the Ministry provided "4531"employment opportunities, including "648" benefits from returned to their home ,and released prisoners .
Al-Kurd showed that his Ministry depends on a certain policy in the program of temporary employment.
This policy divided into five categories including returned people to the home after the revaluation of ( Al-Rabei Al-Arabi) ,released prisoners who spend less than five years ,intimates ,and a large families ,according to the needs in the ministries and governmental institutions .
The Minister of Labor showed that these categories are on the top of priorities then to act according to the needs of government institutions of graduates according to the existing database in the Ministry of Labor.
On the other hand, Al-Kurd pointed to the role of General Administration of training in the graduation of workers, professionals to suit the needs of the local market in the Gaza Strip, noting that his ministry began re-building and development of vocational training centers in all governorates in order to promote vocational training, where the value of project estimated with million dollar and meet the needs of the local market skilled workers especially in light of the growing need to the outcome of the Ltd Construction in the community.
And also spoke about the role of public administration for inspection and protection work in the protection of workers' rights by monitoring the application of labor law and regulations issued pursuant there to, through periodic inspection of facilities of various its kinds and monitor its commitment to the standards, safety and healthy instructions
