Government media office has strongly refused the arrest of the journalist Sharif Al-Rajoub, a correspondent for Al-Aqsa Radio in Hebron in the occupied West Bank, by the Israeli occupation forces, considering that a flagrant violation against the right of humanitarian, international laws and the press freedom.
Whereas, the Israeli occupation forces arrested Al-Aqsa Radio's correspondent in the Hebron in the occupied West Bank and broke into his house, and they tampered with the contents of the house before taken him to an unknown destination.
The government media office confirmed that Al-Rajoub has been arrested in accord to the policy of repression and gagged pursued by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinians; in order to undermine their dignity and their freedom stolen originally by the practices of barbarism.
The office indicated that the arrests come in the context of the revenge of the media effort that accompanied and supported the prisoners' strike, and managed to bring their voices and demands. It also noted that these barbaric are the policy of the "Israeli", which is completely failed and it will never succeed.
Therefore, the government media office demanded all official and non-official international organizations to hold their responsibilities towards the serious attacks and legal violations that practiced by the Isreali forces against the Palestinians especially journalists and media professionals.
It also called for immediate and rapid release of the journalist Al-Rajoub and other detained journalists from the Israeli prisons, whereas, the number of detained journalists in the prisons increased to nine journalists.
