The healthy situation and living conditions in Gaza Strip are getting worse with less humanitarian aid this year 2012, and the continuous comprehensive blockade imposed by Israel since June 2007.
Because of the severe blockade of Gaza ,which does not give any opportunity for treatment abroad for critical cases and therun out of necessary medicines from the medicalwarehouses ,Media office of Interior met Juli Reverse, Gaza Field Coordinator for the NGO-MEDICENS SANS FRONTIERES- working in Gaza strip ten years ago to listen to her point of view on the humanitarian situation and the intervention carried out by her NGO.
Ms. Juli Reverse confirmed, that her organization is working to provide psychological, social and health care for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip for more than ten years, especially since the Palestinians live in difficult circumstances due to Israeli occupation and the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip five years ago. Besides , the long cut of electricity.
As a result ,a big quantities of necessary medicines for the treatment of patients in hospitals in the Gaza Strip and the Ministry of Health run out , the MSF intensifies its work within the strip, and provides all the supplies needed by patients in hospitals and healthy centers, Juli Reverse added.
She continued "We provide healthy services to all classes of the Palestinian people, young , old, men and women without regard to race, or political affiliations, our goal is to provide the necessary treatment for the groups affected by the continued violence that practiced by the Israeli occupation they live in the area of ??conflict which created a crisis that is our duty to be reduced .
In turn, Mr. Ayman Al-Jaruosha, deputy director of MSF, said that there is a joint cooperation between their Foundation and the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, where they work inside the movable tents inside the hospitals and healthy centers, and seek hard to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, especially children.
He explained, for more than 6 months, the physiotherapists received a practical and theoretical training in the MSF clinic of post-operative care in the Gaza City.
At the same time, the three specialized burns units in the Gaza Strip (Gaza City's Shifa Hospital , Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, and the Sheikh Radwan center for primary health care) is equipped with the necessary resources such as equipment and consumables, Al-Jarosha added.
Also, he said after a visit conducted by physiotherapists in hand surgery at the end of 2011, the MSF opened its first dedicated unit to treatment the hands in early January 2012, in order to treat all patients who need specialized care in the Gaza Strip.
In a response if MSF provides permissions for treatment abroad, director of the Assembly, said that there is no need to provide permissions abroad ,as they provide all the necessary treatment for the patients within the Gaza Strip, and the Assembly qualified by elite of medical cadres of and surgical specialists .
