An Israeli airstrike afternoon Saturday killed a Palestinian man in Nasr suburb to the west of Gaza city, medical sources said.
Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, the health ministry spokesman, said that Israeli warplanes bombed a motorcyclist killing him instantly and wounding ten other citizens.
The PIC reporter said that the collapse of a fence of one of the nearby housing towers as a result of the bombing caused the big number of casualties, adding that the motorcyclist was a member of the Nasser Salahuddin Brigades, the armed wing of the popular resistance committees.
For his part, Adham Abu Salmiya, the spokesman for the higher committee for ambulance and emergency, said that 16 Palestinians were killed in the Israeli air raids and artillery bombing on Gaza that started last Monday.
He said in a statement on Saturday that four children were among the victims, adding that 63 Palestinians, including women and children, were wounded.
Abu Salmiya noted that the Israeli raids and bombings targeted residential quarters, playgrounds, metal workshops, motorbikes, and other civilian areas.
