Marine Police decided to prevent swimming in the Gaza seaport basin or getting close to the entrance of the basin, because many incidents were occurred in the sea, and the most recently was the death of a young man, 16 years.
Accordingly, the marine police demanded the Ministry of Transport not to obtain new licenses for tourist boats, because of the presence of a large number of these boats in the harbor basin.
It also stressed on the need to protect the engines of tourist boats which operating close to the vacationers.
Moreover, the marine police also decidedly prevented the entry of tourist boats to the sea when the wave height or work after sunset, as well as it prevented renting oar boats or using it for other than fishing.
The marine police also prevented swimming at night and the excessive speed of all boats in the harbor basin or outside it.
