The convoy, bringing medical aid to the Palestinian people, was received by ministers and members of the Legislative Council.
"We came in solidarity with the people of Gaza", the head of the convoy, Essam Youssef, said, expressing hope that the new Egyptian era with Mohamed Morsi's presidential win would help break the siege on Gaza.
For his part, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Ahmad Kurd, thanked Miles of Smiles convoy organizers who came from all Arab and Western countries in solidarity with the Gaza Strip.
Ahmad Kurd said that this convoy, like numerous convoys, came in solidarity with the people of Gaza to break the siege imposed on Gaza, pointing out to the large influx of these convoys, which confirms the intention and determination of the Arab peoples to break the siege on the Gaza strip.
