Lt. Col. Ayman Al-Batniji confirmed that there is a considerable interest with regard to fire, and the police will deal firmly and decisively with anyone fires in the air in all events, especially as we are going to announce the results of general secondary exams.
Al-Batniji pointed out to the killing of a female student last year and spreading panic and fear among citizens were the result of recklessness and negligence by some non-official people.
He stressed that the Palestinian police will confiscate every weapon and punish all armed who shoot in the air in the Gaza Strip during the celebrations of general secondary's results and other occasions.
Al-Batniji showed that the Palestinian police in cooperation with the mass media will educate and guide people to the right path in marriage ceremonies, in order not to turn into a tragedy, death and grief.
Concerning the security preparations for Ramadan, Al-Batniji said that the police will communicate with the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs; in order to enjoy the convenience of all worshipers, and not be subjected to inconvenience through prayer.
Al-Batniji noted that the Palestinian police would hunt down traders who enter fireworks illegally, indicating that the illegal sellers of fireworks bear part of the responsibility.
