Gaza-Interior Ministry
The Palestinian Ministry of labor in a cooperation with the Municipality of Gaza and the Interior Ministry in Gaza ,has launched a campaign, titled "Gaza more beautiful in Ramadan ," which will be launched early this month and will continue for two months in order to raise the level of hygiene in all governorates of the Gaza Strip
.
Ahmed Kurd, The Minister of Labor, announced during a press conference held at the government Information Office in Gaza ,that the launch of the campaign comes within the activities of the campaign of "building home" that the society clean one of the developed civilization manifestations, so all people keen to develop their countries clean
. "
He added, "In the previous period, everyone was pride in the level of cleanliness the strip , so the government is keen to keep Gaza a beautiful all the time," noting that the campaign will provide many job opportunities on the item of temporary employment, at a cost of half a million dollars
.
He pointed out that the campaign came to a low level of cleaning in Gaza as a result reducing the "UNRWA" to their services, and reduce the number of jobs provided to the municipalities, and stop projects jobs in the "UNDP" that provide the Municipalities by workers
.
Kurd drew attention that the campaign will be implemented in collaboration with the Ministries of Local Government, Interior Ministry and Municipalities in all provinces to unite the efforts, and achieve better results, to bring integration in the work and show the impact of the campaign on the ground
.
He explained that the providing equipment and needed resources will be by the municipalities and the Ministry of Local Government, stressing the role of the Ministry of Interior to provide a number of labor by encouraging volunteer work with its members and participants in summer camps, and involve a number of inmates to participate in rehabilitation them
.
He stated that they will continue implementation in all provinces and in all regions to show Gaza clean, in addition to the educational part by providing a number of ecologists guides to carry out field visits of the citizens to make them aware to the importance of cleaning and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit and involve them in improving the aesthetic image for the strip
.
He confirmed that his ministry is ready to provide all facilities for the success of the campaign and keep Gaza clean, noting that the number of employees within the campaign reached to 100 workers, distributed in all tasks and for each municipality 100 workers, explaining that the 30% of names will be adopted by the municipalities, to take into account the privacy of labor and equipment they are working on it
.
In turn, Ministry of Interior and Municipality of Gaza emphasized during the conference to highlight the importance of the campaign in the civilized face of the Palestinian people to visitors and people, stressing their willingness to the success of the campaign and its goals .
