Al-Quds international institution strongly denounced the remarks made by the legal advisor of the Israeli government Judea Feinstein in which he claimed that the Aqsa Mosque is an integral part of Israel's land and described them as very serious.
In a press statement to Quds Press, Al-Quds institution linked Feinstein's remarks to a report issued in 2010 by the comptroller of the Israeli government Micha Lindenstrauss who called for making the Aqsa Mosque under Israel's full authority.
Director of Al-Quds institution Yassin Hamoud said that the Israeli occupation aims to achieve permanent and full Jewish presence in the Aqsa Mosque as part of its criminal scheme to Judaize the whole city of Jerusalem that started in 1967.
Hamoud appealed to the Jordanian government to use its international influence to pressure the Israeli regime to stop its aggression against the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and called on the Arab countries to fulfill their stated obligations towards the holy city.
For his part, secretary-general of the organization of Islamic cooperation Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu warned on Tuesday that the Muslim nation would never tolerate any Israeli violation against their Aqsa Mosque.
Ihsanoglu condemned the Israeli claims that the Aqsa Mosque is part of Israel's land and urged the ambassadors of the Islamic countries to the UNESCO to urgently act to stop Israel's violations against the historical and religious sites in Jerusalem.
