Gaza-Interior Ministry
A delegation of Public Relation in the Ministry of Interior and National Security has visited on Sunday July 22,2012 a number of international press agencies in the Gaza strip .
The delegation included Mr. Islam Shahwan , On behalf of general-director of general administration for media and public relations, Mr. Mohammed Abu Safiya ,director of media and communication department , Eng. Ismael Ismael , director of Audio-Visual department ,and a number of employees in the English department in the media office followed to the Ministry .
The delegation visited Reuters Press Agency , and Agence France- Press as a first step of continuing visits to see the important aspects concerned by international agencies to show the Palestinian image to the western world .
In Reuters , the delegation was received by Mr. Nedal Al-Mughrabi ,the head of Reuters , and a number of Journalists working in it .
Meanwhile , Mr. Shahwan congratulated them in the occasion of Ramadan month, then the two parties discussed the main issues concerned by western media in the Gaza strip .
Mr. Al-Mughrabi confirmed on the necessity of completing the information related the news to show the issue lucidity and credibility .
According to the AFP , The Journalist Adel Al Zaanoun , appreciated the visit ,pointing out the necessity of communication between Journalists of international agencies and governmental institutions ,especially the Ministry of Interior as a main source to announce the press releases
.
In turn, Mr. Abu Safiya confirmed that these visits came according to the continuing relations to develop media work in the Gaza strip .
At the end of visit , the delegation of Interior Ministry thanked the heads of agencies for their receiving , promising them to spend all efforts to pass the obstacles suffered by journalists in the strip .
