Gaza premier Ismail Haneyya is scheduled to arrive in Cairo on Wednesday evening via the Rafah border crossing heading a high-level 18-member delegation.

A senior source in the Egyptian presidency said that president Mohammed Morsi would officially receive Haneyya and the accompanying delegation on Thursday evening or Saturday morning.

The source told the PIC reporter that Haneyya is expected to meet with a number of Egyptian officials and would meet with newly-appointed Egyptian premier Hisham Qandil on Thursday morning.

He said that Morsi would discuss with Haneyya and the accompanying delegation, including government and parliament officials, bilateral relations, means of supporting the Gaza Strip, and a number of Palestinian issues.

The most prominent issues to be tackled during the Morsi-Haneyya meeting would be the reconciliation process and the Rafah terminal and increasing its working hours, the source said.

He added that the Palestinian delegation would propose previously tabled ideas such as establishing a free trade zone between Gaza and Egypt and several other economic ventures.
