Dr. Mohamed Awad, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, declared that the Israeli decision that considers the members of parliament (MPs) in the West Bank as a prohibited party is a explicit violation of international laws that consider those deputies as legitimate MPs as they have won in a free democratic elections reflected the will of the Palestinian people.

Awad said in a written statement that such decisions reflect the arrogance of the occupation to cancel and fight the representatives of the Palestinian people through policies of detention, confiscation and closure of offices for MPs.

He stressed on the need to make official and public move to confront this arbitrary decision, both internally and in international forums, to compel the occupation to undo it.

Therefore, Awad called on international and human rights institutions to face this resolution and the aggressive Israeli plans against the Palestinian people and its legitimate representatives.
