A digital statistical issued by General Directorate for Public Affairs and NGOs at Ministry of Interior and National Security reported that the department of financial control financially checked during the first half of this year on 220 associations out of 872 associations registered at the Interior Ministry in the Gaza Strip.
Department of associations reported that the number of associations that have been recorded during the first half of this year is 21, including two foreign associations.
The report of the department of associations showed that the number of associations registered at the Ministry of Interior is 872, including 67 foreign associations.
In this regard, Director General for Public Affairs and NGOs in the Ministry of Interior Mr. Sarwat Al-Baik confirmed that the ministry is exercising its work professionally away from political harassment.
Al-Baik said in an exclusive interview to " Interior Ministry's website" that work in associations is going according to the law for the benefit of our people.
He added: "Despite the blockade and the lack of potential, the Interior Ministry has achieved great efforts in the field of civil service institutions as it seeks to achieve its objectives, to serve the people."
