Undersecretary of Interior Ministry and National Security Kamel Abu Madi demanded the Egyptian leadership to open the Rafah crossing due to the severity of damage to the Palestinian citizens, who suffered greatly from the frequent closures of the crossing.
Abu Madi confirmed in an exclusive statement for "Interior Ministry's website" that the ministry has many thousands of citizens who wish to travel and leave the Gaza Strip for working, treatment and education.
He also appealed the Egyptian government to open the Rafah crossing where there is not any justification to stay closed until the moment.
Accordingly, Abu Madi warned of a crisis at the Rafah crossing because of the delay of travelers, and he hopes to lift the siege imposed by the Israeli occupation and to improve traffic through the Rafah crossing.
