Recently , Ministry of Interior and National Security has announced after the Sinai incident the closure of all the tunnels on the Egyptian-Palestinian borders, and declared a state of alert for all its security on the border with Egypt to prevent any attempt to infiltrate Gaza.
15 soldiers were killed in the attack targeted them in Egyptian Rafah by unidentified gunmen who seized the armored vehicles of Egyptian army that are widely believed to be used in the attack on the Israeli crossing, according to Israeli sources announced.
The statement of the Ministry of Interior and National Security said : " Palestinian government and the Ministry of the Interior pursue the unfortunate events on the Egyptian border with the Gaza Strip, targeting a group of Egyptian soldiers led to the martyrdom of thirteen Egyptian soldiers."
it added: "Such unfortunate incident points the finger at the Zionist occupation, which is trying to tamper with the security of Egypt and spread sedition and drive a wedge between the Egyptian people and the people of the Gaza Strip and the theft of the achievements of the Egyptian revolution."
Interior Ministry has rejected categorically "involvement in the Gaza Strip in these unfortunate events without verification or investigation in an attempt to incite the Egyptian street on Gaza."
The Ministry said: "The border with Egypt protected and secured from us, and we consider the Egyptian national security of our priorities and Egypt's security is our security."
In this context Mr. Mustafa Al-Sawaf , political analyst in the Gaza strip , consider that the closure of Palestinian tunnels with Egypt after Sinai incident as an exceptional and compulsory , and the Gaza strip need a practical alternative to work on the earth not under it ,calling to establish a free commercial area between Egypt and the Gaza strip .
He followed, we hope from the present government not to be as the previous one led by Mubarak ,who seek hard to tighten on the Palestinian people under the siege imposed on Gaza strip five years ago .
Al-Sawaf agreed the decision of Egyptian Minister to establish a commercial area in the next year ,pointing that this decision will give a positive share in the economic situation to the Gaza strip , and ease the crisis of siege .
Also , he consider the agreement of Hamas Movement to establish this area is a positive because the Gaza strip forced to build tunnels due to the siege Imposed by Israeli occupation ,and the Gaza strip need a clear and declared commercial area in bias .
