International Tadamun Foundation for Human Rights said that the Zionist prison administration has recently transferred a prisoner from the occupied city of Haifa to solitary confinement in Ashkelon prison.
The Foundation said in a statement on Saturday that "Israeli prison administration transferred few days ago the prisoner Imad Rajeh Mustafa Sarhan, 34, from Beersheba prison to isolation cells in Ashkelon prison at the pretext that he suffers from psychological problems".
Captive Sarhan, from the village of Wadi Nisnas in Haifa, has been detained since January 20, 2002, serving a life sentence in addition to ten years of imprisonment on charges of killing an Israeli soldier, wounding another and possessing weapons and explosives.
Tadamun Foundation stated that Sarhan is being held in solitary confinement in a cell near captive Dirar Abu Sisi's cell and that he is deprived of family visit.
It also pointed out that "after isolating captive Sarhan, the number of isolated prisoners in Israeli jails increased to three; Sarhan, Abu Sisi and Awad Saidi who is held in Ella solitary confinement inside the prison complex of Beersheba."
