The Israeli occupation authorities stepped up its punitive measures against Palestinian captives at Megiddo prison under flimsy excuses such as accusing the captives of smuggling communications equipment into the prison.
I a letter smuggled from the jail, Megiddo captives told our correspondent in Jenin that the prison administration decided to deny seven of the captives were denied family visits for a month. This is in addition to arbitrarily cutting off water supply in the evening hours.
The captives also complained of surprise night raids, usually after midnight, by special units causing more tension inside prisons.
