Gaza traffic police prevents motorcycles over weekend

General Directorate of Traffic police in Gaza work in order to reduce road accidents that increase their share in the summer especially on the coastal road to the Gaza Strip.
The traffic police had prepared a plan to regulate the coastal road and the reduction of accidents during the current year 2012.

In this context, Col. Ali Al-Nadi  ,General Manager of General Directorate of Traffic Police , that the police intensify their presence on the road to Al-Rashid Street, and the coastal road due to the presence of a large congestion on the beaches.
Al-Nadi said in an interview with  the "Interior Ministry Website: " We cooperate with marine police and central operations and provincial and municipal police in keeping the beaches of any traffic accident."

He showed that the largest concentration of individuals be held on Thursday and Friday, noting that the traffic police to ban motorcycles on the coastal road ,in order to feel citizen safe.
The traffic police has organized awareness campaigns in schools and universities to educate individuals to avoid accidents in ways, he added

He explained that the Motorcycles unit of the traffic police has a major role in securing the conduct of processions, in addition to some other tasks.
Also, Al-Nadi said that  "This unit was able to reach any breakthroughs and traffic quickly, particularly as it consists a creative team deal in an efficiency way."
He pointed out that the passage of traffic police force divided its members in times of emergency and severe congestion, especially when receiving delegations, processions, and VIPs. "
He attributed the causes of all incidents occurring in the Gaza Strip to the speed of the drivers, and the lack of attention by the citizens and drivers alike.
On the other hand, Eng Hassan Okasha, Director General of General Administration of Traffic Engineering and safety, at the Ministry of Transport and Communications to have a joint plan with the traffic police to prevent motorcycles in the Sea Street to provide comfort and safety for holidaymakers on the shores of the sea and avoid any congestion.
