Eng. Ihab Al-Ghusain, head of government information office, confirmed on the need to preserve press freedom and protect the Palestinian journalist in all the Palestinian territories.
Al-Ghusain explained that the Palestinian journalist still faces some obstacles encountered during his work, whether in the occupied West Bank or the Gaza Strip, noting that the media office in Gaza attempts to minimize such obstacles as much as possible.
He pointed out that "the government media" monitors the Israeli violations committed against Palestinian journalists in the West Bank cities and the occupied Palestinian territories .
Al-Ghusain stressed that the Palestinian journalist is still having difficulties in access to information and move freely in the various Palestinian territories.
Accordingly, Al-Ghusain called international human rights organizations "pro-human rights" to defends the rights of Palestinian journalists detained in Israeli jails or prisons authority in the West Bank.
