A group of Jewish settlers chopped down more than a hundred olive trees in Qaryut village, south of Nablus, at dawn Tuesday.

Ghassan Daghlas, in charge of monitoring Jewish settlement activity north of the West Bank, said that the settlers cut down around 120 olive trees in the fields of Qaryut village.

He was not sure, however, whether the settlers came from a nearby settlement or other settlements.

Jewish settlers wage daily attacks against Palestinian farmers in the West Bank, especially in southern Nablus, which increase during the olive harvest season.
