Palestinian old woman injured in settlers’ attack

A 67-year-old Palestinian woman was injured on Saturday after a group of Jewish settlers threw rocks at her home to the east of Yatta town in Al-Khalil, local sources said.

Ratib Al-Jabour, the coordinator of popular committees in the town, said settlers from Karma’il settlement attacked Um Al-Kheir area, east of Yatta, and threw rocks at the house of Eid Al-Hadhalin injuring his elderly wife.

He said that the old woman was taken to hospital.

Jabour said that Israeli occupation forces arrested a number of young people in the village after the settlers’ attack.

Meanwhile, Jewish settlers chanted anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian slogans in a march near Karma’il settlement and threatened to escalate attacks on the Palestinians.
