A Palestinian citizen was seriously injured on Friday in Israeli shelling of areas east to Breij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, medical sources said.

Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, the health ministry’s spokesman, said in a press release that the 22-year-old youth was seriously wounded when an Israeli tank shell blasted near him.

He said that the young man suffered wounds in his neck, face, and chest and was being treated in Shuhada al-Aqsa hospital.

Qudra said that Israeli occupation forces’ tanks shelled cultivated land lots to the east of the refugee camp.
