General Directorate of Civil Defense appeals mothers and paterfamiliasin the Gaza Strip not to use candles at all for lighting, confirming that the majority of fires that killed many children caused by candles forgotten or in their rooms.
Civil Defense said in a statement on Monday there is no response from the heads of households, especially mothers to the calls of civil defense and awareness sessions that held in schools, mosques and neighborhoods that warns of the dangers of these candles.
It also noted that the number of fires caused by candles during the current year exceeded 35 fires, that killed six children and wounded dozens, mostly of children, rather than extensive material damage caused by these fires.
