The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticized the Israeli practices in the region, which he described as "irresponsible", denouncing the occupation "illegal" practices against the peoples of the region.

"Times have changed, and Israel must return to its senses, and to change its irresponsible practices in the region," Erdogan said during his speech at the "Justice and Development" headquarters in the capital city of Ankara calling on the Israeli authorities to recognize the Palestinian rights and to implement the United Nations resolutions.

He stressed in his speech on Tuesday that his government "will continue to support the Palestinian people's attempts to get their legitimate rights, and fight for them, on the basis of the historical ties between the Arabs and the Turks."
