Palestinian premier in Gaza Ismail Haneyya granted Leila Khaled, a veteran leader with the popular front for the liberation of Palestine, a diplomatic passport.

Haneyya said that despite the siege Gaza remained a land for the free that received Palestinian leaders without permission from the “Zionist enemy”.

For her part, Leila congratulated Haneyya on the victory over the Israeli aggression and on the 25th anniversary of the founding of his (Hamas) movement.

Leila, who arrived in Gaza recently, said that unity of the Palestinian people is the secret for their strength, and called for mobilizing the people in support of resistance.

The meeting on Saturday was attended by foreign undersecretary Ghazi Hamad, government spokesman Taher Al-Nunu, and a number of PFLP leaders.
