A Palestinian farmer was seriously injured after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him while working near Qarara town to the east of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, on Sunday.

Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, a spokesman for the health ministry in Gaza, said that the 23-year-old farmer was hit with a bullet in the chest.

He said that IOF soldiers stationed east of Qarara fired at the farmer, who was taken to Nasser hospital for urgent treatment.

IOF soldiers continue to fire at citizens after the calm agreement, reached with Egyptian patronage, in violation of that agreement. Two Palestinians were killed and dozens were wounded in the shootings.
