Interior Ministry honors activists of new media for their prominent role during recent Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip

General Directorate of Public Relations and Information at the Ministry of Interior and National Security has honored on Sunday afternoon 70 activists in the field of new media and social networking pages who worked actively during the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip on November 2012.
 
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Interior and National Security Mr. Fathi Hamad, Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mohammed Al-Madhoun, head of Government Information Office eng. Ihab Al-Ghusain, general observer of the Ministry of Interior Sami Nofal, director of public relations and media Mr. Ibrahim Salah and many academics, journalists, activists and interested parties.
 
The minister praised the efforts of new media activists, who exposed the crimes of the Israeli occupation and covered the events of war around the clock, pointing out that they were distinguished during the recent aggression.
 
Accordingly, Hammad announced the approval of the ministry to facilitate the work of those activists and asked the Information Office of the Interior Ministry to issue cards to facilitate their work, and he called on them to immediately participate in the electronic campaign of solidarity with the prisoners strikers on Monday.
 
The Minister of Youth and Culture said: " the Palestinian government represented by the Ministry of Interior has a prominent role, not only securing the home front and provide security and safety for our people, but also take care of activists of new media. "
 
For his part, director of Information Office Mr. Iyad Al-buzom said: "We greet you in this wonderful ceremony to honor this group of young people who are making great efforts in the field of new media."
 
Also, Samar Abu Al-Ouf confirmed that they have worked despite the danger in every moment.
 
Abu Al-Ouf demanded the government and the Ministry of Interior to facilitate the work of activists and journalists during their coverage of field events and issue their cards to facilitate their work.
