Israeli navy gunboats fired at a Palestinian fisherman while working off the Gaza coast on Monday and detained him after wounding him.
Sources in the Palestinian marine police said that Israeli gunboats chased and fired at a Palestinian fishing boat and injured the fisherman before taking him along with his boat to one of its ports.
Hebrew press said that the wounded fisherman was taken to Barzilai hospital in Askalan where his condition was described as moderate.
