Palestinian Prisoners' Center for Studies confirmed that the Nahshon forces have assaulted the prisoner Samer al-Issawi twice in the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court Hall.
The prisoner, who has been on hunger strike since 142 consecutive days, appeared in Court for the hearing session of the appeal submitted for releasing him on bail or under house arrest, following the deterioration of his health condition.
The Palestinian Prisoners' center said in a statement on Tuesday that the Israeli units assaulted captive al-Issawi because he had greeted his family members, who came to check on him after hearing about the serious deterioration of his health.
It added that the occupation units have attacked al-Issawi once more when the journalists tried to reach him to ask him about his health.
The Center held the occupation and its units fully responsible for the deterioration in the health of prisoner Issawi, as they have been neglecting his demands for his release.
