Jewish settlers attacked, on Monday afternoon, a group of Palestinian farmers in the village of Madama, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
Ihab Al-Kot, the head of the village council in Madama, told Quds Press agency that a group of settlers from the "Yitzhar" settlement attacked, yesterday afternoon, Palestinian farmers in the south of the village while they were working in their lands.
The attackers had also kidnapped one of the farmers, Maamoun Nasser, after abusing him, the head of the village council added.
He continued that the settlers shot Amir Nasser, 27 the brother of the kidnapped farmer, in his foot, noting that he had been taken to one of the hospitals in Nablus to receive treatment.
"Meanwhile, clashes erupted in the village after the intervention of a force of the occupation army, which started firing rubber bullets, tear gas grenades and Stun grenades at the Palestinian citizens, who responded by throwing stones and empty bottles," said al-Kot.
