Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained two Palestinian young men in Al-Khalil village of Beit Ummar at dawn Sunday one of them a footballer, local sources said.
Mohamed Awad, the spokesman for the popular committee in Beit Ummar, told Quds Press that IOF soldiers stormed the village at the early dawn hours and searched a number of homes.
He said that the soldiers arrested 25-year-old Ali Ahmed Ikhlail, the head of the local youth council, after searching his family home and 22-year-old Muayad Al-Teet, a soccer player with the Beit Ummar sports club.
IOF troops set up a number of road blocks at entrances to a number of other villages in Al-Khalil district also at dawn Sunday, locals reported.
