The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) imposed a fine on one of the Aqsa mosque guards and ordered him to stay away from the holy site for 21 days.
The Wadi Hilwe information center said in a statement on Thursday that the IOA released Tarek Abu Subaih after paying 2500 shekels fine.
The statement recalled that the Israeli police had arrested Abu Subaih in the Aqsa mosque’s plazas and took him to a police station where he was accused of disturbing peace.
It said that the police asked him to sign a petition that would have released him but with a 60 days exile from the Aqsa mosque, which he refused. The statement added that he then appeared at a hearing for the magistrate court on Wednesday where the judge ordered his exile for 21 days.
