The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) closed the Beit Hanun (Erez) and Karm Abu Salem crossings on Monday in reprisal to the alleged firing of a missile from Gaza on Sunday evening.
The IOA said that the missile slammed into the western Negev but did not cause any human or material losses.
Raed Abu Fattuh, the head of the committee in charge with entry of goods into Gaza, said that the IOA informed the committee of its intention to close Karm Abu Salem.
Karm Abu Salem is the only crossing through which goods flow in and out of Gaza Strip.
