Palestinian people every year celebrate the Prisoner Day in the 17TH of April since the exchange deal occurred in 1974 .Palestinians attempt to support prisoners in Israeli jails and show their sacrifices for liberation of Palestine by various activities during this day .
This year Palestinians and pro Palestinians celebrates the occasion in front of the post of Red Cross in Gaza city where the families of prisoners make a sit-in on Mondays .
Detainees Minister Atalah Abo Sobah who participated in the celebration delivered a speech saying the occupation continues its crimes against prisoners because of Arab and international silence towards their human cause assuring that resistance is the fastest way to liberate all detainees for Israeli prisons . He added all free people have to mobilize internationally the cause of prisoners in mass media so that it can be solves soon .
Interior ministry's Hanadi Elmallahi met a number of participant in these actions .
The representative of the branch of Bena'a Association "Tajmmo Bokra Alshababy '' Ahmed Dahman said the association organized an exposition named "sols ,not photos " comprised photos taken from the Cells of prisoners of Israeli jails .
Sarah Katz , a French pro Palestinian , said the issues of Palestine and prisoners have to be an interest of all countries of the free world ."There are many prisoners in Israeli Jails captured without trials and this measure is contrary to what stipulated in the laws of the United Nations , all countries must resist for the concepts of freedom ", she added .Sarah affirmed that French people increasingly support the question of Palestinian occupied people as there are four main associations which reinforce Palestinian people ,such as ISM France , Solidarity AFPS ,and Union François des Juifs pour la Paix .
Many families of detainees came to CR holding their sons' photos appealing to all association for more attention to lift bad circumstances of their son in Israeli Jails . It is worth the number of prisoners in Israeli jails is 4900 detainees, including 14 females , the oldest one is the captive Lina Jerboni from occupied Palestine in 48, detained since 11 years and sentenced 17-years in prison .
