How do Palestinian Children spend Summer Holiday ? Report

Summer holiday begins , Palestinian families start to think about choosing the perfect way so that their children spend a useful time . During holiday , there is a great chance for children to have knowledge and acquire new skills . However , bad economic conditions and siege imposed on Gaza Strip badly disturb children of poor families . Lina Omar in the ninth grade said she feels confused since she cannot determine where she can develop her skills in "singing" .Whereas Mona Madi would like to memories Quran in mosque and help her mother in the housework . The pupil Rania Ahmed in fifth grade considers summer holiday as a good chance to play , visit relatives ,and learn computer skills . Abdel Allah Hassan said he wants to join " Memorizing Quran Camps " and reading stories and novels at home . In this context , the psychologist Randa Jamal affirms the awful consequences of free time for adolescents . They may exploit holiday in bad deeds . Some poor families in Gaza Strip cannot join their children in Institutes of Languages and Computer so they go to summer camps even though they do not attain their ambitions . Other miserable families waits holiday so that their children work and have an income hence hard economic conditions .Gaza roads and streets are full of children who sell things for passerby . My father bought for me a fridge to sell ice cream for children in our locality to save money for new educational year and Eid Alfitr , Ahmed 14 years old . He added I wish I could go out with my friends and have courses in Art unfortunately economic situation of my family prevents me . Carrying a package which contains spoons , knives ,and other things for kitchen , Nader 15 , declared I save money to buy these goods to sell it in summer vacation . Bad economic conditions in Palestinian Enclave oblige children to sacrifice summer vacation to work in streets to gain little money .
