Moscow : Pro Palestinians organize a sit-in to support Alquds

A pro-Palestinian group has organized last Saturday a sit-in in support of Jerusalem in Moscow as part of the Global March to Jerusalem. Dozens of social activists, politicians, Muslim and Christian students as well Arab, Muslim, and Asian communities have attended the sit-in organized by the Russian Group for Palestine in response to the Israeli violations against Palestinians. Dr. Shamil Sultanov, the head of the Russia-Islamic world center of strategic studies, said that the participation in such events is the duty of everyone who belongs to the free world. He considered the Palestinians Naksa in 1967 (setback) a disaster not only for Palestinians but also for the entire Islamic nation and humanity. For their part, Mohamed Salah Dinov, President of the Islamic Council of Russia, and the journalist Nadezhda Kifrckova, known for their support to the Palestinian cause, stressed the need to support Jerusalem and the Palestinian people in light of the Israeli attacks and aggressions against the holy city. The participants expressed their full support for the Palestinian cause and strongly condemned the Israeli arbitrary practices of arrests, demolition, Judaization, and displacement. They chanted slogans in support of Jerusalem and the Palestinian issue such as "Zionism is the enemy of all religions", "freedom for Palestine", "Down with Israel."
