Erdogan Confirms Gaza Visit

The Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, confirms to the Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh he will visit the besieged Gaza Strip. The Palestinian government in Gaza stated in a brief statement that Haniyeh and Erdogan discussed the Palestinian reconciliation. Haniyeh stressed the strong Palestinian - Turkish relations, praising Turkey's role in the Palestinian cause. Among a Hamas delegation headed by politburo chief Khalid Meshaal, Haniyeh met Erdogan Tuesday evening in an international tour to a number of Arab and Islamic countries.
