Reform and rehabilitation Center discusses cooperation with ICRC

Directorate General of reform and rehabilitation centers in the Ministry of Interior and National Security received on Tuesday a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross ICRC . The delegation of ICRC comprised both Christian Cardon, head of ICRC in the Gaza Strip and Matilda Cooper ICRC delegate in the Gaza Strip, and was received by the Director of the Directorate of reform and rehabilitation colonel Atteyya Mansour . Christian stressed the aim of the visit is to communicate and work together and discuss ways of cooperation . He referred to the importance of studying the situation of inmates and indicating the positive and negative points within the conditions of reform and rehabilitation centers .. Colonel Mansour affirms the necessity of working together to contribute to the upgrading of working through the strengthening of relations between the Reform and Rehabilitation Directorate and the International Committee of the Red Cross . Col.Mansour during the meeting said , " Directorate of reform and rehabilitation makes great effort to provide care for inmates in collaboration with ICRC in all services provided to inmates and it seeks to define to inmates rules and regulations since they have come to Center . He added inmates who respect there laws are granted many privileges which include holidays , special visits , and financial rewards . At the end of the meeting, Col.Mansour thanked the visiting delegation stressing the full readiness of joint cooperation to upgrade the inmates according to the law .
