International Cooperation in Interior Ministry calls for intervention to save humanitarian situation in Gaza Strip

Ministry of Interior and National Security urges Arab League , Gulf Cooperation Council ,and Organization of Islamic Cooperation to intervene immediately to save the humanitarian situation because of arbitrary actions led against people of Gaza Strip. In a statement , the Ministry incites international institutions of human rights , Egyptian political parties , elites ,and intellectuals in the world to communicate rapidly with Egyptian side to stop the demolition of tunnels until finding an alternative and opening the Rafah crossing border permanently to end the suffering of thousands stranded in Gaza . International Cooperation in Interior Ministry affirms the ministry is concerned by securing the Palestinian side of the borders and does not allow anyone to exploit the tunnels to make detriment against Egyptian national security. It stresses that International Community and states , which signed on the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 , have to bear responsibility towards Palestinians and practice pressure on the Occupation to open crossings for entry of goods . Director of International Cooperation Adham Abu Selmmeyya says the purpose of this statement is put everyone in a picture of the humanitarian situation Gaza Strip amid of demolition of tunnels .He adds , we know very well that tunnels are not the best solution to end the suffering of Gazans but it is an unforced way at this stage under the blockade imposed by the occupation . He points out that destruction of tunnels by the Egyptian side without finding formal alternative is as an active participation in tightening and prolong the siege to paralyze public life for the residents of the Gaza Strip. Abo Selmmeyya confirms , Interior Ministry demands Egyptian Side to find an attentive as soon as possible for tunnels which are the lifeline of population in the Gaza Strip .
