Interior Ministry : Licenses for 36 Associations to work in Gaza in 2013

Ministry of Interior and National Security has given 36 Licenses to Associations including 3 foreign societies to work in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of this year. Number of associations registered in Ministry of Interior for the moment amounts "865" Association, including "798" local associations, in addition to "67 "foreign society . According to a report issued by the General Directorate of Public Affairs and non-governmental organizations NGOs , ministry of Interior authorizes associations if they were consistent with the spirit of the Palestinian society . "489 " associations registered in Gaza, "123" associations" in the province of North , "101" associations registered in Khan Younis, and "86 " association in the Central province ,and "66 "Association" registered in Rafah . Tharwat Albick ,director general of Public Affairs and non-governmental organizations, says Interior Ministry considers national program of performance indicators as a strategic project to achieve national goals and to increase the confidence of the Palestinian community in associations and civil societies .
