Jewish settlers chopped down 15 olive trees in Brukin village in Salfit province, to the north of the West Bank, on Sunday.

The popular committee against the wall and settlement said in a statement that the settlers came from Brukhin settlement, built on land of the village of Brukin, and cut off the fruitful trees.

It pointed out that the destroyed trees were owned by a Palestinian family in the village, adding that the trees were located to the north of Brukhin settlement.

Meanwhile, Brukin village inhabitants appealed for ridding their cultivated land of poisonous chemicals dumped by Jewish settlers.

A shepherd from Brukin told the PIC reporter that 35 sheep heads died as a result of this poisonous material.
