General Directorate of crossing at the Ministry of Interior and national security has announced that the Egyptian authorities officially informed them on Monday evening reopen the Rafah crossing in both directions for three days on an exceptional basis.
Maher Abu Sabha, Director of the crossings, told in a statement to the interior Ministry website that the crossing will be open from tomorrow until Tuesday and Thursday evening from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
He explained that the travel tomorrow will be allocated to the remaining registrants of November / October, pointing out that the number of registered in the Ministry of Interior reached to 5 thousand registered after the opening of registration office of travelers for three days only.
Director General of the crossings concederd that "open the Rafah crossing in this extraordinary figure does not meet the needs and desires of the Palestinian citizen."
Abu Sabha renewed his call for the Egyptian side to re-open the crossing over the days of the week , to complete the travel of citizens of the owners of multiple humanitarian needs.
