Gaza schools severely damaged by the Israeli shelling

The Ministry of Education in Gaza said that a number of schools in the central governorate were severely damaged as a result of the Israeli shelling of the neighboring areas in Deir al-Balah.

The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that a number of classrooms and training rooms in the school of Deir al-Balah were seriously damaged due to the bombing.

Engineer Medhat Dessouki, a ministry official, explained, during a field visit to the school, that despite the damages the final examinations for the first semester were not interrupted, and that the students were moved to alternative classrooms.
