Rafah-Interior Ministry
The Ministry of Interior said that Egyptian authorities allowed on Sunday to travel the first batch of three groups of pilgrims to cross en route to Mecca as well as to allow the return of another group of pilgrims.
The Egyptian authorities to extend the work of the crossing for next Tuesday to receive stuck travellers in Egypt and there were no information so far about the possibility of opening the Egyptian side of the crossing to travel for humanitarian cases.
The Ministry has confirmed that the crossing will not re-open for travel, until its reopening for the registration lists due to the accumulation of the number of users to travel in the statements of the Ministry of Interior.
Rafah crossing exceptionally works where the Egyptian authorities allowed opening two weeks ago for three days, where "1922" left the Gaza Strip.
